AJAY FRY, the charismatic Host of InnerSPACE, has had a remarkable journey in the world of television and beyond. Born in Toronto, Canada, Ajay's unique brand of humor can be attributed to his upbringing in Ottawa, where he developed a quirky sense of humor. His early career in television began with roles on popular shows such as LASSIE, ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK, and BIG WOLF ON CAMPUS, as well as lending his voice to beloved cartoons like ARTHUR, LITTLE LULU, and CAILLOU.
As a teenager, Ajay honed his comedic skills at Ottawa's renowned comedy club, The iNSTiTUTiON, under the guidance of Ken Godmere, a Second City alumnus. Shortly after turning 18, Ajay traveled to Beijing, China, where he voiced a series of educational videos that were distributed across the country.
In 2003, Ajay returned to Toronto to pursue his passion for comedy and improv. He completed the conservatory program at The Second City and the Humber College Comedy program, earning a nomination for the prestigious Phil Hartman Award.
After graduating, Ajay joined YTV as the host of CRUNCH, their popular Saturday morning programming block. He delighted YTV audiences for two years before joining SPACE in 2008 as the host of THE CIRCUIT, a weekly genre entertainment show.
In the fall of 2009, Ajay teamed up with Teddy Wilson to co-host SPACE's flagship daily genre entertainment show, InnerSPACE. As the voice of SPACE, each episode of InnerSPACE is a thrilling half-hour that delivers unparalleled behind-the-scenes access, coveted interviews with genre's biggest stars, and front-row seats to big buzz events. Alongside Cynthia Loyst, Ajay and Teddy take viewers on an action-packed journey, exploring the world of science fiction, fantasy, and horror.
When he's not hosting InnerSPACE, Ajay can be found dominating fellow gamers in online computer games like Left 4 Dead 2, StarCraft 2, and Team Fortress 2, designing websites, or kicking around the local Toronto comedy scene.
