Seeking to refine her comedic talents, she enrolled in a reputable comedy acting school, dedicating a year to mastering the art of stand-up comedy, and subsequently, at the tender age of 27, Ōku took the leap of faith and enrolled in Eigabi School, a prestigious film institution renowned for its esteemed faculty, which included the accomplished director Kiyoshi Kurosawa, among others.
