Dublin-born and -raised, Alan embarked on a musical theatre journey at Laine Theatre Arts in London, simultaneously honing his skills in speech and drama at Trinity College, also located in the British capital. Subsequently, he resided in various European cities, including Zurich, Vienna, Stuttgart, and Berlin, before winning a Green Card in the lottery and relocating to New York, a place he has since made his home.
Following his arrival in the United States, Alan delved into the world of improv at the renowned UCB, further refining his craft through screenwriting studies at Gotham Writers. Just five short years later, he achieved his goal of becoming a US citizen.
In his free time, Alan is an ardent dog lover and is caught in a love-hate relationship with CitiBike. His ultimate aspiration is to one day become the proud owner of his very own canine companion, rather than a bicycle.
