Alan Powell is a multifaceted creative individual who wears many hats, including actor, writer, producer, and musician. As the co-founder and principal of Monarch Media, a Los Angeles-based film and television production company, Powell has been involved in a variety of projects.
One of his most notable endeavors is the family musical "A Week Away," which he co-wrote the screenplay for and will be released on Netflix in 2021. Additionally, he is producing several other films, including the Chris Pratt comedy "The Black Belt," the untitled country musical with Florida Georgia Line, the military thriller "Havoc" from South Korean filmmaker Byung-gil Jung, the musical "The Road to Bethlehem" directed by Adam Anders, and "Do the Birds Still Sing in Hell?," based on the acclaimed biography of a British WWII soldier and prisoner of war.
As an actor, Powell has appeared in both feature films and television series. He was a series regular on the ABC military drama "Quantico" and starred as an aspiring country singer in Samuel Goldwyn Films' "The Song."
In addition to his work in film and television, Powell has a background in music. He co-founded the band Anthem Lights and subsequently founded the band's own music label. He also co-wrote the music for the Netflix musical "A Week Away."
