Person Biography:
Alejandro Furth is a versatile and critically acclaimed actor, playwright, and director who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. Born and raised in Venezuela, Furth studied at the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City, where he became a member of the award-winning The Lab Theatre and the LAByrinth Theater Company.
Furth's career has spanned across various platforms, including television, film, and theatre. He has worked on numerous projects, including the international hit series Narcos: Mexico, where he portrays Roman Salgado, a journalist known for his reporting on corruption and drug trafficking. He has also been nominated for two SAG Awards for his work on the HBO series BARRY.
In addition to his TV and film work, Furth has made a name for himself in the theatre world. He has directed and produced new works through his production unit, La Comuna, and has been a member of the award-winning company The Elephant Theatre. Some of his notable credits include the West Coast premiere of Tony award nominee playwright, Stephen Adly Guirgis' "The Little Flower of East Orange" and the English version of José Sanchis Sinisterra's Spanish classic, AY, CARMELA!.
Furth is also a board member of "Venezolanos en Hollywood", a non-profit organization that promotes Venezuelan artists in the USA.
