Biography

Aleksandr Satsky, a renowned writer of considerable acclaim, was born on November 16, 1930, in the quaint town of Pologi, situated within the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, which is now part of the Zaporizhia Oblast in Ukraine.

Throughout his illustrious career, Satsky garnered widespread recognition for his literary masterpieces, including the notable works "Vsyudu yest nebo" in 1968, "Zhenikhi" in 1986, and the critically acclaimed novel "Only Old Men Are Going to Battle" in 1974.

Sadly, Aleksandr Satsky's life was tragically cut short when he passed away on July 6, 1986, in the city of Kiev, which was then situated within the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.
