Aleks started her career as an independent choreographer in 2016, since then she has developed a unique and personal approach to choreography and dance making through numerous projects, collaborations, and creation processes. This approach has been shaped by her work with professionals from the dance and movie industry worldwide, including WarnerBros Pictures, Voltage Pictures, Valorant, Pantaleon Films, L'Oreal, and Ubisoft.
She has worked with renowned international artists such as Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, and Angele. In addition to her choreographic work, Aleks is a multi-talented artist who also directs and designs the lighting and stage for all her productions, making it an integral component of her creative process.
Throughout her career, Aleks has developed a rich methodological set of tools and an original pedagogical approach to dance making. She is regularly invited to teach and collaborate with leading dance schools and institutions in Russia, Romania, and Bulgaria, and offers internships, workshops, and master classes to young dancers and makers.
Aleks is also a skilled stunt performer, having appeared in over 10 movie and commercial projects, including WAAD Iblees, Expendables 4, Memory, Cobweb, and more. She is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the CID, UNESCO, IFAUBA, International Dance Organization, and DWC.
Aleks has received numerous awards and accolades, including the "Golden Muse" award from the Association of Choreographers in Bulgaria in 2019 and the Grand award of Dimitar Berbatov Foundation VIII Annual Awards. She has also been an exhibitioner of the Ministry of Culture.
Aleks has studied dance and choreography in Bulgaria, USA, Russia, Romania, and Italy, and has participated in various dance and theater projects with professionals from around the world. She teaches and creates choreography in local and international dance schools, and has served as a judge in national and international dance championships.
Aleks has also directed and choreographed two notable dance performances, "Second Skin" and "8"/ PROJECT 8 2022.
