Aleksey Aleksandrovich Chadov, a renowned Russian actor, was born on September 2, 1981, in Solntsevo, Moscow region, RSFSR, USSR, which is now a suburb of Moscow, Russia.
Born to a family with a strong theatrical background, Aleksey is the younger brother of actor Andrey Chadov. Their father, Aleksandr Chadov, passed away in 1986, leaving their mother, Galina Petrovna Chadova, an engineer-turned-accountant and teacher, to raise both boys as single parents.
Despite their parents' passing, the Chadov brothers were incredibly close, often going on casting calls together and providing a broader range of opportunities for directors. The brothers look remarkably similar, but they are not twins, with sixteen months separating them.
Aleksey began his acting career in school, followed by amateur acting stints at the municipal theater-studio in Peredelkino. His first acting teacher was Aleksey Kozhikhin. At the age of 12, in 1992, Aleksey was awarded for his stage performance and was sent to the Mediterranean resort of Antalia.
Throughout his school years, Aleksey played a wide range of characters in both classical and contemporary plays. After graduating from school, he enrolled in the Shchepkin Theatrical School in Moscow, where he studied acting under the guidance of Vladimir Seleznyov. He graduated as an actor in 2003.
During his time at the Shchepkin Theatrical School, Aleksey made his film debut in a leading role in the 2002 film "War" directed by Aleksey Balabanov. His performance earned him the Best Actor Award at the Montreal Film Festival in 2002.
Chadov is a devout Russian Orthodox Christian and currently resides in Moscow, Russia.
