Alex was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, and started his acting career at the tender age of 13 as part of the renowned repertory company for the acclaimed children's series Incredible Story Studio in 1997.
He later relocated to Calgary, Alberta in 2005, where he began to hone his acting skills and landed roles on the Gemini Award-winning series Renegadepress.com, CBC's Heartland, the Genie Award-winning World War I drama Passchendaele, and the cult, horror-comedy hit Tucker and Dale vs Evil.
In 2009, Alex made the move to Vancouver, British Columbia to pursue bigger and more challenging roles, which he successfully secured in the Syfy series Caprica, the CW's Supernatural, and ABC's Motive, as well as in the feature-length films Kid Cannabis and The Stakelander.
Today, Alex calls Vancouver Island his home, having traded in the hustle and bustle of city life for the tranquility and natural beauty of the island.
