Alexa Jung is a seasoned television writer and showrunner, boasting an impressive resume that spans multiple platforms and genres. As a Co-Executive Producer, she recently worked on the Amazon/Fable production of Bosch Legacy, and developed the Amazon/Alison Janney and Bob Greenblatt project, Confident Women.
In addition to her work on Bosch Legacy, Alexa consulted on the NBC/Chuck Lorre series B Positive, the Paramount+/Mark Cherry show Why Women Kill, and the Fox series Monarch. Her extensive credits also include iconic shows such as Friends, Sex and the City, The West Wing, and Big Love, which earned her four Emmy nominations, two WGA nominations, and three GLAAD Media Award nominations.
As an Executive Producer, Alexa oversaw the first three seasons of the Netflix/Skydance series Grace & Frankie, which garnered a Humanitas nomination. She also developed multiple cable projects for Starz, Showtime, and HBO.
On the stage, Alexa's play Fingersmith was produced by Lily Tomlin and developed at the New York Theater Workshop. The play enjoyed two sold-out runs at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the American Repertory Theater in Boston.
A frequent contributor to This American Life, Alexa has also performed on their live national tour. Her Friends episode, "The One Where Everybody Finds Out," was listed in Rolling Stone's "100 Best TV Episodes of All Time" and recently cited in The Atlantic Magazine as a scientifically proven "mood booster."
