Alexander Arntzen is a multifaceted film composer who has made a significant impact in the industry with his versatility in composing music across various genres, styles, and mediums. Prior to his high school graduation, Alexander began his music composing career, which laid the foundation for his future success.
In 2006, he wrote a remarkable piece titled "Inspiration" for Special Olympics, which became the opening ceremony theme. The following year, he created a song called "I'll Walk With You" for DSALA's annual Buddy Walk, showcasing his ability to craft music that resonates with diverse audiences.
Alexander's academic journey took him to Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he excelled as a Berklee Writing & Composition Scholar from 2009 to 2013. During his time at Berklee, he received the prestigious Campus Impact Award for his outstanding contribution to the 9/11 Berklee Memorial Concert.
The summer of 2010 brought Alexander an incredible opportunity to intern with the renowned Hans Zimmer, a mentorship that further honed his skills. Later that year, he was commissioned to write a new theme song for the PBS TV Series "Great Decisions," solidifying his reputation as a talented composer.
Since the summer of 2012, Alexander has been contributing additional music to the Lifetime and SyFy TV Channels, expanding his portfolio and reputation. In the summer of 2013, he had the privilege of interning for the legendary Danny Elfman, assisting with transcribing scores for his concert, "Danny Elfman's Music from the Films of Tim Burton." This remarkable experience not only deepened his understanding of the film scoring process but also allowed him to work alongside a master of his craft.
