Alex Nahon is a multifaceted creative individual who has made a name for himself in the worlds of writing, directing, and photography. Prior to relocating to the United States in 2007, he was based in France, where he wrote and directed a variety of short films, music videos, and commercials.
The NYC French Institute extended an invitation to Nahon to serve as their "Artist In Residence" for a period of two years, which he accepted. During this time, he continued to hone his craft, and his photographs were showcased in some of the most prestigious art exhibitions in both Europe and the United States.
In 2007, Nahon's photographs were featured in Macy's "Art Under Glass" display at their Herald Square department store in New York City, and in 2009, his work was displayed at the Miami Art Basel exhibition. He is currently represented by the Kips Gallery in New York.
In addition to his work in photography, Nahon has also made a name for himself in the world of film. In 2007, he played the role of Manu, an oily poet and annoying ex-boyfriend of Academy Award nominee Julie Delpy, in her comedy "Two Days in Paris". The film, which also starred Adam Goldberg, was distributed in the United States by Samuel Goldwyn Films.
Nahon reprised his role as Manu in the sequel "Two Days in New York", which he co-wrote and starred alongside Chris Rock and Julie Delpy. The film, which was produced by Protozoa and distributed by Magnolia Pictures, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013 and was selected for the Tribeca Film Festival.
Currently, Nahon is working on the post-production of his first feature film as a director, "Burning Shadow", which is being produced by Bleiberg Entertainment and stars Matthew and Russell Lewis, Roxane Mesquida, Roger Guenveur Smith, Richard Edson, and Julie Delpy.
