Biography

Aleksey Nikolaevich Belov is a renowned Soviet and Russian rock musician, songwriter, and producer, best known as the leader of the Gorky Park group, solo guitarist, and author of most of Olga Kormukhina's songs.

As a musician, Belov began performing in the late 1970s as a guitarist in the Nadezhda vocal and instrumental ensemble. He later joined the Moskva group, serving as guitarist and arranger from 1980 to 1984.

In 1987, Belov co-founded the Gorky Park group and, along with the rest of the group, moved to the USA, where he spent approximately 10 years.

In 1997, Belov released the blues disc "Three Aleksey Belov" as part of the Gorky Park group. He then went on to work on the BAtanik project, serving as sound producer, author of all music, and arranger.

In 2010, Belov presented a new joint song-duet "Open the door for me" with Olga Kormukhina at the Slavyansky Bazaar, as part of the festival "Stars" Radio Chanson. He also released a single featuring verses by Nikolai Rubtsov, titled "Black Night", with a music video released in 2014.

As a solo artist, Belov has performed at various events, including the Slavyansky Bazaar, and has released several singles, including "Moscow Calling" with Olga Kormukhina in 2014 and "Live in Moscow" in 2018.

Belov has also ventured into film scoring, having worked on the soundtracks for Red Serpent, Mirror Wars, and Fog, directed by Anton Dorin. He has also written music for numerous films and has been the author of almost all the new songs of Olga Kormukhina, including her albums "I'm Falling into the Sky" in 2012 and "Salt" in 2016.

In addition to his solo work, Belov has collaborated with other artists, including Olga Kormukhina, and has directed music videos for his own songs, such as "Live in Moscow" in 2018 and "Don't let go of my hand" in 2020.
