Aleksey's academic journey began in 1998 when he successfully earned his degree from Tomsky State University, thereby establishing a solid philosophical foundation that would subsequently serve as the cornerstone for his artistic pursuits.
He embarked on a prolonged and rigorous academic trajectory, which subsequently led him to the esteemed institution of VGIK, where he pursued and ultimately completed his studies in 2004, graduating from the prestigious workshop of the illustrious and renowned filmmaker, V. Abdrashitov.
Aleksey's professional trajectory reached a pivotal juncture with the premiere of his third feature film, "Tambourine, Drum", in the year 2009, thus cementing his status as one of the most recognizable and accomplished Russian cinematographers of his generation.
