Nicosia-born actor and director was born in 1961, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey in the world of theatre and film. He received his education at MimarSinan University State Conservatoire Drama School, graduating in 1983. This same year, he began his professional career as an actor at the Istanbul State Theatre, a position he still holds today, both as an actor and director.
Throughout his illustrious career, he has directed numerous theatre plays, including "Hosu'nun Utanci/ Shame of Hosu" at the Istanbul State Theatre, "Yasar Ne Yasar Ne Yasamaz" at various state theatres across Turkey, and "Yolcu/ The Passenger" at the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Theatre. He has also directed "Deli Ibrahim/Ibrahim the Mad" at the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Theatre, "Kanli Nigar/Bloody Nigar" at the Bursa State Theatre, "Esegin Golgesi/ The Shadow of the Donkey" and "Gözlerimi Kaparim, Vazifemi Yaparim/ I Close My Eyes and Do My Duty" at the Ankara State Theatre.
His impressive performance in Reha Erdem's movie "Mommy, I'm scared" earned him the best actor award at both the International Nurnberg Film Festival and the International Ankara Film Festival. He also received the best actor award for his performance in Tolga Ornek's movie "Devrim Arabalari/ Cars of the Revolution".
As a narrator, he has worked with orchestras such as the Istanbul Symphonic Orchestra and the Bursa Symphonic Orchestra, bringing fairy tales like "Peter and the Wolf" and "Nasreddin Hodja" to life. He has also taught acting at Eskisehir Anatolia University State Conservatoire for five years and at Bahcesehir University for seven years.
In addition to his work in theatre and film, he has also worked as a dubbing artist and has appeared in various TV series and movies. His personal life is marked by a loving marriage and a child.
