Andrei's passion for acting, sword-fighting, and stunts began during her junior year at Kettering University, formerly GMI Engineering & Management Institute, in Michigan, where she was studying Business Management and Marketing. This marked the start of her 18-year journey in continuous training as an actor, stunt actor, and stunt woman, honing her skills in European and Italian sword-fighting styles, including saber, rapier, cutlass, and broadsword.
Over the past 11 years, Andrei has also trained in various martial arts disciplines, such as muay thai, boxing, judo, jiu jitsu, grappling, tae kwondo, and wu shu, as well as Asian swordplay, including katana, Japanese sai, and wu shu sword/staff. Her ultimate goal is to empower athletic females in film and television by producing, creating, writing, acting, sword-fighting, choreographing, or performing stunts on projects.
Andrei has already made a name for herself in the entertainment industry, producing, choreographing, starring, and co-writing the award-winning historical short film "La Fleur de la Bataille". She has also co-starred and choreographed stunts and swordfights in "The Crusader", which was showcased at the 2005 Los Angeles 168 Hour Film Festival. As a sword-fighting instructor and choreographer, Andrei has worked on various projects.
In addition to her work in film, Andrei has co-created and co-written a female-driven comedy narrative TV pilot and series, "What About Walda", with Taylor J Martin, in which she is the female lead. The project has received attention from major production companies and online streaming services.
Andrei has also collaborated with Mark Edward Lewis on several projects, including a sci-fi action TV series pilot, comic book, and feature film franchise, "Omega 1", which she promotes at major Comic-Con conventions across the country. She has also co-written and co-created a how-to DVD series, "Super Swordfighting Series", and a hilarious web series, "Mad Maxine", in which she was the star, co-creator, and producer.
Andrei is currently working on a historical action/drama feature project, "'The Spirit Within'", with her producing partner, and has co-written a full-length, feature physical/comedy script with one of her writing partners. As a working actor, stunt actor, and stunt woman, Andrei is set to play the Female Lead in several action-oriented projects for TV and film in 2019 and beyond.
