Alison Newman

Alison, a talented individual, entered the world on January 1968, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey that would soon unfold. Her big break in the industry came unexpectedly, when a casting director, impressed by her performance in Anthony Neilson's hit play The Censor at The Royal Court, extended an invitation to audition for the role of Butterfly Collectors, alongside the renowned Pete Postlethwaite. This breakthrough opportunity paved the way for her to take on the complex and intriguing character of Renee Williams in the popular television series Bad Girls, released in 1999. Her outstanding portrayal of this character garnered widespread recognition, ultimately leading to the offer of a significant role in the critically acclaimed series Footballers' Wives, which premiered in 2002. Furthermore, Alison's impressive range and versatility were showcased through her recurring character, DI Samantha Keeble, in the esteemed British soap opera Eastenders.
