Allan Cole is a renowned author, screenwriter, and former prize-winning newsman, boasting a wealth of experience in travel and personal exploration that he brings to his imaginative work. Born in Europe and raised in the Far East, Cole's upbringing was marked by a childhood spent attending thirty-two schools and visiting or living in numerous countries. He fondly recalls hearing The Tempest for the first time as a child, sitting on an ancient fortress wall in Cyprus, an island that may have inspired Shakespeare's writing of the play. Rejecting opportunities to follow in his father's footsteps as a CIA operative, Cole instead pursued a career in journalism, earning numerous awards for his investigative reporting and editing, including coverage of landmark murder cases and government corruption scandals. Since transitioning to a focus on books and film, Cole has written the landmark science fiction series, "Sten," the highly-acclaimed fantasy trilogy, "Tales Of The Timuras," and the Vietnam war classic, "A Reckoning For Kings." His extensive television credits include selling over a hundred dramas, ranging from "Quincy" and "The Rockford Files" to "Walker, Texas Ranger." Today, Cole resides in Boca Raton, Florida, with his wife, Kathryn.
