Allisyn Snyder, a Los Angeles native, embarked on her entertainment career at the tender age of four, initially performing under the name Allisyn Arm. Throughout her childhood, she worked steadily, making appearances on popular TV shows such as Friends, Strong Medicine, Judging Amy, and Still Standing.
At the age of 11, Allisyn landed a series regular role in the Disney Channel's Sonny With A Chance, followed by its spin-off, So Random!, a children's live audience sketch comedy show that showcased her impressive range of character voices and physical comedy skills.
Allisyn's iconic portrayal of the eccentric Heather Wilmore in all four seasons of NBC's A.P. Bio, opposite Glenn Howerton and Patton Oswalt, earned her widespread acclaim, with Decider praising her as "TV's Greatest Scene Stealer" and noting her "words said to laughs earned" ratio is "absurd."
As she transitioned from acting to working behind the camera, Allisyn began studying cinematography at Glendale CC after graduating at the age of 15. At 17, she started writing sketches for AwesomenessTV, with several of her creations airing on Nickelodeon.
In her late teens, Allisyn created the YouTube personality Astrid Clover, a collaborative project with Joey Luthman and her future husband, Dylan Snyder. Over the course of seven years, they released a new episode every Friday, amassing a loyal following of over 350 original episodes.
In 2016, Allisyn began writing and producing films alongside Dylan Snyder, forming Watch The Footage Productions. Her directorial debut, the queer screen-life horror film Howdy, Neighbor!, premiered at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre as part of Screamfest 2023.
In addition to her creative pursuits, Allisyn has a passion for an active lifestyle, having been trained in trapeze, aerial silks, dance, kickboxing, and roller derby. She is a certified Advanced Open Water (AOW) scuba diver and Nitrox diver, with a lifetime of swimming lessons and ocean experience under her belt.
As a prolific artist, Allisyn's dark and whimsical creations have been invited to gallery showings since she was 15 years old, showcasing her versatility and artistic talent.
