Amanda LaCount is a multi-talented professional with a wide range of experiences. Born in Colorado, she was a competitive figure skater and all-star cheerleader, and she also danced competitively, attending the Denver School of the Arts as a Dance Major from 6th to 9th grade. She performed in numerous professional musical productions, including Annie, Sound of Music, and The Wiz, and even qualified for Nationals in figure skating.
In 2015, Amanda moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in dance and acting. She graduated with Honors from The Dance Academy at Champs Charter High School of Performing Arts and went on to earn her BFA in Dance Performance from St. Mary's College of California.
Amanda has had numerous notable performances, including dancing at Coachella with Lizzo, dancing with Meghan Trainor at the Radio Disney Music Awards, and performing in Rihanna's "Savage X Fenty" Show at NYFW. She has also danced on The Ellen Show with Keala Settle from "The Greatest Showman" movie, danced with Disney's "Descendants 2" Cast on DWTS, and appeared on America's Got Talent Season 15 as a competitor.
In addition to her performances, Amanda is a body positivity advocate and has been featured in numerous campaigns, including Dove's "#showus" campaign, American Eagle Outfitter's "Young Money" curvy jeans campaign, and JCPenneys "Here I Am: Plus Size Athletes Fit At Any Size" campaign. She has also been a guest speaker at various events, including "Beautiful U" and the National Best Buddies Leadership Conference.
Amanda has her own movement, #breakingthestereotype(TM),which promotes body positivity and challenges the idea that all dancers must be tall, thin, and blonde. She is also a member of Brian Friedman's Entourage and has performed at various events, including Move It in London and the Zumba Cruise to the Bahamas.
Amanda has appeared in numerous TV shows and movies, including "The Little Mermaid Live," "Ali's Realm," "Fat Camp," "School of Rock," "Drama Club," "Alexa and Katie," and "Euphoria." She is set to graduate with her BFA in Dance Performance in Spring 2022 and is excited to see what the future holds for her as she continues to promote confidence and body positivity.
