Born in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, Tavarez was raised by her devoted parents who had migrated from the Dominican Republic, instilling in her a rich cultural heritage. Growing up in a household where Spanish and English were spoken interchangeably, also known as Spanglish, Tavarez developed a unique linguistic flair that would later influence her performances. Her passion for theatre began to unfold in middle school, where she initially explored the art form, and continued to nurture it throughout her academic journey, culminating in a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from the University of Central Florida. In addition to her love for acting, Tavarez also delights in honing her physical skills through combat and Muay Thai training. With a strong foundation in television and film, Tavarez's adventurous spirit is further fueled by her enthusiasm for global exploration and immersion in diverse cultures, as she travels the world, collecting experiences and inspiration for her craft.
