Adult film star Amber Lynn was born in California, and in the early 1980s, she began her career as a bikini and figure model in Los Angeles, becoming part of the notorious Sunset Strip club scene.
It was during this time that she met Althea Flynt, wife of "Hustler" magazine publisher Larry Flynt, who introduced her to the world of adult entertainment. Amber Lynn did photo spreads for "Hustler", taken by renowned photographer Clive McLean, and later worked with other notable men's magazines such as "Chic", "Penthouse", "Playboy", "High Society", and "Club".
As her career progressed, Amber Lynn transitioned into the adult film industry, making her debut in Bobby Hollander's "Personal Touch III" in 1983. She spent the next few years working in the adult film business before crossing over to become a featured dancer on the "gentleman's club" circuit.
This bold move made her the first adult film star to do so, and she went on to earn up to $25,000 a week performing in clubs across the US and Canada, drawing packed houses.
In addition to her work in the adult industry, Amber Lynn has had roles in several non-adult Hollywood productions. She belongs to SAG and AFTRA and has appeared in films such as "52 Pick-Up" (1986) alongside Roy Scheider and directed by John Frankenheimer, and "Evils of the Night" (1985) with John Carradine and Julie Newmar.
Amber Lynn has also made appearances on TV shows like "The Man Show" (1999) with Adam Carolla and Jimmy Kimmel, and has guest-starred as herself in "Who's Jenna...?" (2018) from Lionsgate. She even had a cameo in Season 2 of the Netflix series "The Kominsky Method" (2018) as Michael Douglas' fantasy girl, who may be the one to save him from a sudden terminal illness diagnosis.
Furthermore, Amber Lynn has been a vocal opponent of the Los Angeles "Safer Sex in the Adult-Film Industry" initiative, which would mandate condom use in adult films shot in Los Angeles County. Since 1992, she has been involved with the Youth AIDS Foundation of Los Angeles, the first charity to accept contributions from the adult industry.
Throughout her illustrious career, Amber Lynn has been a major part of the adult film industry for almost 30 years, appearing in over 350 films and more than 200 men's magazines. She has also hosted her own radio show, "Amber Lynn Rock-N-SeXXXy-Uncensored", on LATalkRadio.com.
As a result of her remarkable achievements, Amber Lynn has been inducted into the Adult Video News (AVN) Hall of Fame and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Free Speech Coalition (FSC).
