Biography

Amber Ruffin is a multifaceted personality, exceling as a writer, executive producer, and host of the critically acclaimed series The Amber Ruffin Show on Peacock, which has garnered numerous Emmy and WGA Award nominations.

As a writer and performer for NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers," Ruffin has earned additional Emmy and WGA Award nominations, solidifying her position as a talented and innovative force in the industry.

Ruffin made history as the first African American female to write for a late-night network talk show in the United States, a groundbreaking achievement that paved the way for others to follow in her footsteps.

Her impressive resume also includes writing and performing on Comedy Central's "Detroiters" and serving as a regular narrator on the cabler's popular series "Drunk History."

Prior to her success in television, Ruffin honed her craft as a performer at esteemed comedy institutions such as Boom Chicago in Amsterdam, the iO Theater, and the Second City in Chicago.
