Amelia Reid-Meredith is a renowned actress, director, and tutor, best recognized for her six-year stint as Bella Cooper on South Pacific Pictures' Shortland Street, where she appeared in over 380 episodes.
With a diverse background in the performing arts, Amelia has had experience in short films, commercials, and voice work. Her notable theatre credits include playing Lady Macbeth in a production of Shakespeare's Macbeth and Jane in No Man's Land in 2014.
As a tutor, Amelia has helped numerous New Zealand actors advance their skills, having taught at the New Zealand Drama School, Toi Whakaari, and running workshops and one-on-one sessions nationwide for auditions and development.
In addition to her acting work, Amelia has also ventured into directing, with notable credits including the theatre show Goodbye My Feleni, which ran for three successful seasons in 2013-2014, featuring Pua Magasiva and Dominic Ona Ariki. She has also directed Dead Butterflies in 2013, two seasons of Le Tonu from 2013-2014, and Waiting in 2017, for which she won "Best Director", "Best Show", and "Best Design" at the Nelson Fringe Festival.
Most recently, Amelia appeared in Hallmark Productions' Pearl in Paradise in 2018, playing the role of Renee, and directed This Town, featuring Amanda, with David White.
