Biography

Amir Jamal Williams, a talented individual, was born in the vibrant neighborhood of Harlem, New York City, USA, to Allison Williams, a multifaceted professional with a background in dance, singing, and acting.

From a tender age of two, Amir began his journey in the entertainment industry, starting with commercials and print work. As he grew, his acting skills continued to flourish, and by the time he was six years old, he had already landed a starring role in the popular television series "A Different World" as J.T. Rallins.

Throughout his childhood and adolescence, Amir continued to hone his craft, appearing in various stage productions and television shows. One of his most notable roles during this period was in the HBO original movie "Daybreak", which featured an impressive ensemble cast, including Cuba Gooding Jr., Moira Kelly, Omar Epps, and Martha Plimpton.

As Amir entered his teenage years, he landed a recurring role on the soap opera "All My Children" as Jamal Wilson-Cudahy, a position he held for several years. Concurrently, he appeared in a string of television movies and made guest appearances on the hit shows "New York Undercover" as Brian Moore, G's best friend, and "Daria" as the voice of Mack.

After exploring his creative interests beyond acting, Amir took a hiatus from the entertainment industry. However, in 2016, he made a triumphant return to the stage, making his directorial debut in the production "Diary of a Mother", written by Hope Hollinsworth-Coaxum, in which he also had a supporting role.

In 2017, Amir published his debut novel, "Flame of Retribution", a work of fiction inspired by the 2006 shooting death of Sean Bell. Today, Amir resides in Upstate, New York with his loving wife and two children.
