As a director, Damian has made a significant impact in the film industry. Her first feature film, "Crossing Dates" (2008),participated in several prestigious film festivals, including Pusan Film Festival, Chicago, Goteborg, Cottbus, Goa, and Rome.
Damian's second feature film, "Crulic - The Path to Beyond" (2011),marked a significant milestone in her career. This film, which she wrote, directed, and produced, was selected at numerous prominent film festivals, including Locarno, BFI London, Annecy, Warsaw, Copenhagen, Pusan, and New Directors/New Films. The film received the Cristal Award in Annecy and more than 35 prizes at other notable film festivals.
Damian's third feature film, "A Very Unsettled Summer" (2013),a Romanian-Czech-Swedish-UK coproduction, showcased her versatility as a filmmaker. This film, which she wrote, directed, and produced, received three prizes from the Romanian Filmmakers' Union annual Awards and was screened at several prominent film festivals, including Warsaw IFF, Goteborg IFF, Febiofest (Prague),and East End Film Festival (London). The film boasted an international cast, featuring Jamie Sives, Ana Ularu, and Kim Bodnia.
Damian's most recent feature film is the docu-drama animation, "The Magic Mountain".
