Taylor Baker's journey in the entertainment industry began after she graduated from Georgetown University, leading her to relocate to Los Angeles, California. This marked the start of her foray into the world of acting, as she enrolled in a six-week "Acting for Commercials" course at Tepper Gallegos Casting, where she was fortunate enough to be introduced to her future agent, Steve Simon.
During her time at the prestigious institution, Baker also had the opportunity to hone her craft in a scene study class, expertly mentored by the renowned Bobby Shaw Chance. Her impressive performance caught the attention of Arlene Thornton's voice-over agency, leading to her signing and subsequent work in voice acting for commercials and television.
Baker's first foray onto the small screen was a small but significant role on the long-running soap opera General Hospital in 1997. Following her graduation from DW Brown's studio, she went on to audition for a role in the 1998 feature film Pleasantville, further solidifying her presence in the industry.
In 2000, Baker's talents caught the attention of Barbara Harris, who introduced her to the esteemed director Nancy Meyers. Meyers was so impressed with Baker's work that she hired her as an "inner voice" actress on the hit film What Women Want. This role marked a significant turning point in Baker's career, as she continued to work exclusively as a voice actress from 2003 onwards.
In addition to her impressive film and television credits, Baker has also had the opportunity to appear in several plays, further showcasing her impressive range and versatility as a performer.
