Andrea Bocelli, a renowned singing talent, was born in Lajatico, Italy, in 1958, and has since become one of the most celebrated vocalists worldwide.
Despite being blind since the age of 12, due to congenital glaucoma and a head injury sustained during a soccer game, Andrea's remarkable singing career did not begin until the late 1980s, when he started performing in piano bars across Italy.
Prior to his musical endeavors, Andrea earned a law degree from the University of Pisa, showcasing his diverse range of skills and interests.
In 1993, his singing talents were discovered by a record scout, who signed him to a record contract after hearing him perform at a party.
This marked the beginning of an illustrious career, during which Andrea collaborated with some of the world's most iconic voices, including Luciano Pavarotti and Sarah Brightman, and even sang for the Pope.
One of his most notable hits is the duet "Con Te Partirò [Time To Say Goodbye]" with Sarah Brightman, while another popular song is "Vivo Per Lei," which translates to "I Live For Her."
The song has been translated numerous times, with Andrea partnering with various singers on different versions. He sings the Italian and Spanish versions himself, and provides the Italian vocals for the French and German versions.
Andrea has also collaborated with other renowned artists, including Hélène Ségara, Marta Sánchez, Sandy, and Judy Weiss, as well as Céline Dion on the song "The Prayer."
