Andrea Darvi, born Andrea Margolis on July 29, 1952, is the daughter of Samuel and Evelyn Margolis. Her early start in the entertainment industry began at the tender age of eight when she made her television debut with a minor role in the iconic episode "The Night of the Meek" from the popular series "The Twilight Zone". This initial appearance was followed by another notable appearance in the same series, marking the beginning of a fruitful television career spanning over four years. During this period, she made approximately a dozen appearances on various television shows, including four episodes of the war series "Combat!" (1962),where she played distinct characters.
Despite her early success, Darvi's filmography is relatively scarce, with only two movie roles to her credit. Her first film appearance was in the 1966 thriller "Torn Curtain", followed by an uncredited role in the 1971 horror film "The Night God Screamed". However, her passion for the entertainment industry was short-lived, as she decided to leave show business in 1966 to pursue a more conventional life.
Years later, in 1979, Darvi tied the knot with journalist Thomas Plate, who would later become a professor at UCLA. The couple welcomed a child, Ashley, in 1986. Since leaving the spotlight, Darvi has explored alternative careers, including journalism and Licensed Clinical Social Work.
