Andres Rovira is a Cuban-American filmmaker with a strong presence in Los Angeles, hailing from Miami. His multifaceted creative endeavors span a wide range of mediums, including films, music videos, and branded content.
His scripts have garnered significant recognition, including finalist placements in the prestigious 2020 Sundance Episodic Fellowship and the 2016 Austin Film Festival. One of his short films, "Noche Buena," made its premiere at the Miami International Film Festival, secured a grant, and was subsequently featured on PBS's Latino Experience Showcase.
In recent years, Rovira has made a notable impact in the world of advertising, directing a trio of documentary shorts for Jeep's YouTube channel: "Running Rubicon," "Rebelle With a Cause," and "Wrangling the West."
In 2019, he ventured into the realm of documentary series, creating and directing "Titans on the Rocks" for Forbes8, as well as the docuseries "Indie Nation," which chronicled the stories of filmmakers in Ghana, South Africa, and Nigeria.
Prior to this, in 2018, Rovira penned and directed his first feature film, "Between the Darkness," starring Lew Temple and Danielle Harris, which is currently available on Amazon Prime.
