Aneela, a British actress of Persian and Punjabi descent, was born and raised in Nottingham, UK. Her mother, recognizing her early passion for acting, helped her pursue her dreams by enrolling her in a youth theatre group, where she was soon scouted for local Children's TV.
As she grew older, Aneela's academic pursuits took precedence, and she went on to study Economics, French, Spanish, and Italian at the University of Leeds, with a year of study in France. She later earned a Postgraduate degree in Education from the University of Nottingham.
Aneela's teaching career eventually led her to Houston, Texas, where she continued to nurture her passion for acting by performing in local community and Repertory theatre productions. Her talent was soon discovered, and she was scouted by an agency, opening doors to more acting opportunities.
Now a full-time actress in Los Angeles, Aneela has accumulated an impressive list of credits, including NCIS LA, Steve Harvey Show, Jimmy Kimmel, Funny or Die, and India Sweets and Spices. She has also appeared in numerous independent productions and has won several awards, including the 2019 LA diversity scholarship and the 2020 Ellen Idelson Scholarship.
Aneela is a versatile actress with a range of accents, dialects, and foreign languages, including French, Spanish, Farsi, and Italian. She is known for portraying strong, complex female characters in both comedic and dramatic roles.
