Angela Aames was born and raised in Pierre, South Dakota, where she first discovered her passion for acting during her high school years. She further honed her craft at the University of South Dakota before making the bold decision to relocate to Hollywood in 1978, determined to turn her acting dreams into a reality.
Aames' early film career was marked by a string of memorable roles, including her debut as Little Bo Peep in the 1978 film Fairy Tales. This was swiftly followed by her portrayal of Linda "Boom-Boom" Bang in the 1979 film H.O.T.S. Her impressive range and versatility were on full display as she took on a diverse array of roles in films such as All the Marbles (1981),Scarface (1983),Bachelor Party (1984),The Lost Empire (1984),Basic Training (1985),and Chopping Mall (1986).
In addition to her film work, Aames also made several guest appearances on popular television shows, including the iconic sitcom Cheers (1982) and the crime comedy Night Court (1984). Her final role was as Penny, a fitness instructor, on the Dom DeLuise Show (1987).
Tragically, Aames' life was cut short when she was found dead at a friend's home in West Hills, San Fernando Valley, on November 27, 1988. The coroner's investigation later revealed that her death was likely caused by a virus that led to a deterioration of her heart muscle, at the tender age of 32.
