Angélica Aragón was born on July 11th at the prestigious Central Médica clinic in Mexico City, amidst a family of intellectuals who valued education and the arts. She was raised in a nurturing environment that fostered her growth, attending some of Mexico's most renowned educational institutions, including The Modern American College, The Sierra Nevada School, and The French-Mexican High School.
Her thirst for knowledge and creative expression led her to pursue a degree at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA),where she spent nearly seven years honing her skills in acting, pantomime, interpretative art, canto, and dance. To further her education, Angélica took courses at The London School of Contemporary Dance, The National Dance Academy of India, and the Kerala Kelandam Dance School in India.
Upon returning to Mexico in the early 1980s, Angélica began her career in the telenovelas industry with Televisa, a major local television company. She brought to life a diverse range of characters, showcasing her versatility as an actress and captivating audiences with her performances.
As her career progressed, Angélica decided to switch production companies, signing with the young but ambitious Argos Televisión. This move earned her international recognition for her outstanding performance in "Mirada de Mujer" ("A Woman's Glance"),a heart-wrenching story that resonated with women worldwide.
Throughout her career, Angélica has starred in over 24 films, both Mexican and North American, including notable titles such as "The Evil That Men Do" and "A Walk in the Clouds". As a theater actress, she has showcased her talents in plays like "Maquillaje" and "Aquila Real", demonstrating her impressive range.
In 1999, Angélica made her directorial debut with the play "Tengamos el Sexo en Paz", focusing on social themes. Now, at the beginning of 2000, she is back on the world stage, starring in the telenovela "Todo Por Amor", produced by Argos Televisión and broadcast by TvAzteca. This new project explores Mexico's social, political, and educational realities, further solidifying Angélica's reputation as a talented and dedicated actress.
