Angelica's maternal lineage boasted a rich cultural heritage, with her mother Ann Lisk being of Dutch and Spanish descent. Her father, an accomplished African-American professional football player, instilled in her a strong athletic foundation. Meanwhile, her uncle, a skilled professional stock car and motorcycle racer, likely passed on his competitive spirit to Angelica. As a child and teenager, she excelled in every sport imaginable, showcasing her remarkable versatility and physical prowess.
Despite her mother's efforts to nurture her interest in dance and modeling, Angelica's true passion lay in outdoing boys in sports and indulging in the rough-and-tumble aspects of athletic competition. Her small-town upbringing in Trenton, Ontario eventually gave way to the bright lights of Toronto, where she was scouted by a track and field coach to train for the Olympic Games.
As she navigated the big city, Angelica's creative inclinations drew her to the world of arts. She landed various commercial gigs, danced in music videos, and secured small acting roles, all while singing with the popular group Simply Majestic. Her introduction to the world of stunts in 1997 came courtesy of renowned Canadian stunt coordinator Branko Racki, who hired her as a hench woman in the movie Half Baked.
