Angelina Fiordellisi, professionally known as Mrs. Kitrich, is a highly accomplished actress with a diverse range of credits across various mediums. Her extensive experience on Broadway, Off-Broadway, National Tours, and in regional theaters has led to her participation in approximately 50 plays.
Some of her most notable stage performances include Zorba, starring alongside Anthony Quinn, Annie with Kathleen Freeman, and Out of the Mouths of Babes. She has also appeared in The Traveling Lady, Nunsense, Man of La Mancha, Private Lives, and Blithe Spirit, earning a best actress award from the Detroit Free Press for her portrayal in Private Lives.
Fiordellisi's film credits include When a Man Loves A Woman alongside Meg Ryan and Andy Garcia, as well as appearances in Where The Heart Is with Natalie Portman, Walker Payne with Jason Patrick, Big Stone Gap with Ashley Judd, Straight Outta Tompkins, Out Of Darkness with Diana Ross, Delusion with Jerry Orbach, and Word of Honor with Karl Malden.
Her television credits include Law & Order, LA Law, Star Trek: TNG, The Cosby Show, Roseanne, Thunder Alley, The Kennedy Center Honors Program, and The New Munsters.
As the owner and operator of the historic Cherry Lane Theatre, celebrating its 93rd anniversary in Greenwich Village, Fiordellisi has founded the Cherry Lane Alternative, a not-for-profit organization that produces the work of emerging and established playwrights, as well as re-imagined Off-Broadway classics from the Cherry Lane cannon. To date, the organization has produced over 100 productions.
Fiordellisi has also created several new play development programs, including the Obie Award-winning Mentor Project, now in its 20th season, which has launched the careers of 60 playwrights, including Katori Hall and Rajiv Joseph.
On Broadway, she has won numerous awards as a co-producer, including the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Drama League awards for Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, starring Tracy Letts and Amy Morton. She has also received a Drama Desk award for producing Will Eno's The Realistic Joneses, starring Tony Collette, Michael C. Hall, Tracy Letts, and Marissa Tomei.
Fiordellisi's most cherished credits are her roles in Wife, written by Matt Williams, and Mamma, written by Matisse Mulliez and Fredrick Emerson Williams.
