Anil Nagrath is a renowned Indian film actor born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. He made his film industry debut in 1982. Prior to his acting career, Nagrath worked in the corporate sector, holding various senior positions in companies such as Dalmia Dairy Industries Ltd, Golden Tobacco Ltd, and Imppa-Indian Motion Pictures Producers' Association, where he served as Secretary from 1990 to 2009 and again from 2015 to present.
Nagrath's entry into the film industry was marked by the production of the film "Surkhiyaan" and the direction of the feature film "Aaj Ki Taaqat". He was co-opted and elected to the Executive Committee of Imppa-Indian Motion Pictures Producers' Association and FMC (Film Makers Combine) due to his ability to handle administrative matters.
As Secretary of Imppa-Indian Motion Pictures Producers' Association, Nagrath provided guidance and consultancy to members, including dispute resolution and arbitration services. During his tenure, FMC was referred to as the "Supreme Court of Film Industry". After leaving Imppa, Nagrath was appointed Director General of AMPTPP (Association of Motion Pictures and TV Programme Producers),where he oversaw a significant increase in membership and revenue.
Nagrath then established his own consultancy company, Nagrath Consultants, which provides legal, financial, and other services to clients. He has also continued to act in films and is currently Secretary of the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association.
As Chairman of Nagrath Consultants, Nagrath has extensive experience in corporate work and the film and TV industry. He is also a Trustee of Nagrath Charitable Trust, which runs Pushp Kunj Hospital in Indore, and a Life Member of various film and television associations.
