Ann is a renowned Director, celebrated for her captivating films and television series that have been broadcast on a diverse range of prestigious networks, including the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, HBO, American Broadcasting Company, Television Ontario, The Documentary Channel, Public Broadcasting Service, Discovery Channel, Home and Garden Television, and the History Channel, among others.
Her film, "My Enemy, My Brother", made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival and was subsequently shortlisted for a 2016 Academy Award, earning a nomination for an Emmy Award in the process. The feature-length version of this film won the Grand Jury Prize at the Singapore International Film Festival, while the short version received recognition at the same prestigious event.
Ann's cross-platform project, "The Defector", a documentary film and interactive experience, garnered a plethora of accolades, including the Best Documentary Award, Best Documentary Director Award, and the Diversity Award at the Canadian Screen Awards. The interactive component of "The Defector" won the FITC Award, the Canadian Digi Award, and the SXSW Interactive Festival Award.
Ann's impressive directorial credits include "The Superfood Chain", "Sugar Sisters", "The Four Seasons Mosaic" (CBC),which was nominated for a Gemini Award for Best Performance Documentary, and "The Roswell Incident", "Western Eyes", and "Almost Real: Connecting in a Wired World", all of which won awards at the Columbus International Film and Video Festival.
