Anne Frances Gomez-Guzman, a true native Texan, was born and raised in Victoria, Texas, but has since made Austin her home since 1989. She is a product of a large family and received her education at the same parochial school as her mother and grandmother.
As a teenager, Anne made a lasting impression in Victoria's local beauty pageant by becoming the first Hispanic to be crowned "Miss Victoria" in 1978. Growing up, her diverse talents shone brightly, whether it was winning state softball championships or performing in dance recitals. At heart, Anne is a country girl who loves the outdoors and escaping to the movies.
Anne married her high school sweetheart in 1980, and after eight years of marriage and four children later, she became a single mother. She raised her children in Austin, working two jobs to provide for them. Her true joy is her one and only "miracle" grandchild, a source of immense happiness in her life.
It wasn't until later in life that Anne discovered her passion for acting, and she began pursuing her career in 2011 in Austin and surrounding areas, including San Antonio, Dallas, and Denton. Her extensive experience in acting has led her to numerous performances on film, stage, and television.
Anne's exposure to a diverse range of cultures and her life experiences enable her to create authentic performances that resonate with audiences. She is constantly seeking to grow in the craft of acting by taking classes at numerous local studios, thanks to the incredible teachers that Austin is fortunate to have available.
For Anne, her favorite quote from Rose Tremain is "Life is not a dress rehearsal," a poignant reminder that we don't get a do-over in life. This quote serves as a constant motivation for her to make the most of every opportunity and to never give up on her dreams.
