Anne Leila Roumanoff was born on September 25, 1965, in Paris, France, to a family with a rich cultural heritage. Her grandparents on one side were Ashkenazi Jews from Russia, while her other grandparents were Sepharadic Jews from Morocco. She has a strong connection to Rabbi Haim Cohen of Fes.
Roumanoff's early interest in the performing arts led her to attend her first theater school at the age of 12. She later graduated from the prestigious Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris.
Anne Roumanoff's career in television began in 1987 with the program La Classe on France 3, alongside well-known comedians Fabrice, Lagaf', and Jean-Marie Bigard. She quickly gained fame for her one-woman shows and went on to become a part of the team on the French TV show Rien à cirer on France Inter with Laurent Ruquier in 1991.
In 1998, Roumanoff celebrated her ten-year career at the iconic Olympia. She continued to work in television, making her mark as a talented comedian and actress. In 2001, she lent her voice to the animated feature Rugrats in Paris: The Movie, playing the role of Coco la bouche.
Roumanoff's show Follement Roumanoff had a successful 13-month run at the Bobino Theater in Paris, followed by a tour in France and Quebec in 2003. In 2007, she celebrated her 20-year career with the show Anne a 20 ans at the Théâtre des Bouffes-Parisiens in Paris.
In addition to her work in television and theater, Roumanoff also made a comic forum on the news, entitled On ne nous dit pas tout, in the show Vivement Dimanche, hosted by Michel Drucker, starting from September 2007.
In her personal life, Roumanoff is married and has two daughters, Alice and Marie.
