Anthony's initial aspiration was to excel as a soccer player, yet his lack of natural talent led him down a different path. He spent a considerable 10-month period teaching at a school, only to eventually recognize that this profession wasn't truly his calling.
Following this realization, Anthony spent several years honing his skills in a shoe store, where he developed valuable work experience. This period ultimately served as a stepping stone for his future endeavors, as he later relocated to New York City.
In the city that never sleeps, Anthony took on a variety of roles to support himself while pursuing his passion for acting. He worked as a bartender, serving drinks to patrons in a lively establishment, and also installed sprinkler systems for commercial and residential properties.
As Anthony continued to work towards his acting goals, he eventually found himself on the stages of New York by 1988. It was during this time that he caught the attention of a seasoned casting director, who would later play a pivotal role in his career.
This influential casting director would go on to cast Anthony in the popular television series "Frasier" in 1993, where he played the memorable character of Simon Moon.
