Anthony Vitale was born in Hailey, Idaho to Salvatore and Nancy Vitale, and his life took a significant turn in 1969 when his family relocated to Southern California.
Growing up in his new surroundings, Vitale's academic pursuits led him to excel in English journalism, earning not one but two prestigious scholarships in 1983 upon graduating from Reed High School in Long Beach. The Los Angeles Times and the Rotary Club of Long Beach recognized his exceptional talent, bestowing upon him these esteemed awards.
Initially, Vitale's artistic inclinations led him to briefly attend Long Beach Community College, where he sought to hone his skills in the art world. However, his creative pursuits took a different turn when he transitioned to a career as a marine carpenter.
Years later, at the age of 40 in 2006, Vitale's passion for the arts reignited, driving him to make the bold move to Hollywood to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming an actor.
