April Adams, a seasoned Casting Director, has had a distinguished career in the entertainment industry. She began her journey at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre, the Theatre Development Fund, and John Houseman's The Acting Company.
Ms. Adams' impressive credits include casting the cult film Days Of Heaven, TV's Roots, Soap, Eight Is Enough, and Three's Company. Her extensive theatre work includes casting productions for Broadway, New York's Roundabout Theatre, and various regional theatres.
Her expertise in casting award-winning commercials led to her being invited to judge the CLIO Awards. She also produced the successful stage version of Jazz Babies at New York's Lincoln Center.
April holds a graduate degree in Producing and served as Producing Director for The Theatre of The Hudson Highlands. During her ten-year tenure, she led the organization from a small company with limited resources to one of the premier professional arts organizations in its New York region.
Ms. Adams' education includes studying Producing for Film at the American Film Institute. She also spent time researching and writing questions for Paranoia, a game show for Fox Family. Additionally, she produced the short film Falling In Love (2002),which was an Official Selection of the Los Angeles Short Film Festival and an entry at the Marche du Film at the Cannes Film Festival.
As a performer, April has played Carnegie Hall, portraying Mozart for the New York Chamber Orchestra, and Madison Square Garden, as a skater with Holiday On Ice. Her theatre credits include roles in The Rimers Of Eldritch by Lanford Wilson, The Shadowbox, and Curley McDimple, all off-Broadway. Her television appearances include Lazarus Man, The Roseanne Show, As The World Turns, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and Eric Idle's update of The Rutles.
