April attended the prestigious College of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri, where she graduated valedictorian in 2001 with a degree in drama, showcasing her exceptional performance skills in various productions, including "Children of Eden", "Last Night at Ballyhoo", "Greenwillow", and "Passing Through".
In 1999-2000, April embarked on an enriching study abroad experience in London and Stratford Upon Avon, focusing on Shakespearean plays, further honing her craft.
In December 2000, her outstanding performance as Essie in the Kaufman and Hart play, "You Can't Take it With You", earned her an ACTF nomination, a testament to her exceptional acting abilities.
The following year, April was recognized as the Best Student Director by the Jone's Theatre Company in Branson, Missouri, solidifying her status as a talented and dedicated theatre professional.
Her big-screen debut came in 2007 with the Warner Brother's film, Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning, where she portrayed the iconic character Daisy Duke.
Throughout her career, April has continued to thrive in the theatre world, appearing in productions such as Henrik Ibsen's "Ghosts", "Quiet in the Land", and "Girl Crazy".
