Ari Golan's Early Life and Education
Ari Golan was born in Chicago to Joseph Golan, former Principal Second Violinist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Judith, an English teacher, flamenco dancer, violinist, pianist, and harpist. Growing up in an artistic family, Ari was exposed to the arts from a young age. He began playing the violin at the age of 2 and also acted in stage productions, television shows, and feature films.
As a child, Ari frequently traveled with his father on international symphony tours, developing a keen interest in culture and world travel. He was a child prodigy violinist and also appeared in theatrical productions, television shows, and feature films.
Ari's interests were diverse and included running track and cross-country, painting, drawing, and sculpting. He was also the sports photographer and editor for his high school newspaper and yearbook.
After graduating high school as an IL State Scholar and National Merit Student with class honors, Ari went on to study film and compete as a collegiate gymnast at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He initially majored in pre-law but later switched to film and television, earning two bachelor's degrees in just three years.
