Biography

Ariel Gardner, a talented director and editor, was born on August 1, 1989, in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California. After completing his Bachelor's degree in Cinema from San Francisco State in 2012, he embarked on a journey to hone his filmmaking skills.

Gardner's early career was marked by his collaborations with Alex Kavutskiy, as they formed a formidable filmmaking duo. Together, they gained valuable experience by creating a range of cinematic web-series through the Channel 101 collective. Their notable projects include the critically acclaimed "Breaking Good" (2012),"Murderers" (2013),"Fishbowls Are Definitely My Thing" (2014),and "Kill The Baby" (2015). The latter, a darkly comedic masterpiece, received a Vimeo Staff Pick for its frenetic and stylized portrayal of chaos.

In 2015, Gardner and Kavutskiy brought their expertise to the big screen by completing their first feature-length film, "On The Rocks" (2017). This ambitious project was an adaptation of a pilot they had previously created for Channel 101, featuring a talented ensemble cast from the community.

In addition to their feature film, Gardner and Kavutskiy have also made a name for themselves in the short film genre. Their live show, "Alex & Ariel's Six Flags Magic Mountain," has been a platform for them to showcase their creativity, with notable shorts including "Judy," "Sound Speeds," "A Ripple of Nothing Significant," and "Nancy."
