Born and raised in the vibrant city of Detroit, Arti Ishak is a multifaceted creative force, currently based in Chicago, where they have established themselves as a talented actor, director, and filmmaker.
This dynamic individual has gained widespread recognition for their captivating portrayal of Mara McHenry in the popular Apple TV series Dark Matter, but they have also impressed audiences with their memorable performances as Monet in the OTV production Brujos and Iman in the OTV series Born and Raised.
Beyond their work in front of the camera, Arti has also made a name for themselves as a skilled director, with credits on several short films, including Shukran Bas (Means of Production),ba la (HF Productions),and HALF (Zaxie Films).
In addition to their creative pursuits, Arti is also dedicated to sharing their expertise with others, serving as an instructor at Black Box Acting and an adjunct professor at The Theatre School at DePaul University, where they inspire and educate the next generation of artists.
