Ashante P.T. Stokes is a multifaceted American artist, director, writer, producer, and performer who has made a significant impact in the rhythm and gospel industry.
Born in Atlanta, Stokes' journey in the arts began at a young age. As a third grader, he was selected for the DeKalb County Honors Chorus, and his passion for music only grew stronger. He started taking violin lessons in middle school and continued to hone his skills throughout his high school and college years. In addition to his music endeavors, Stokes also sang in numerous local talent competitions.
After graduating from college, Stokes began his professional music career by doing vocals for a rapper friend. However, it was his participation in the 2010 GMA's IMMERSE competition that marked a turning point in his journey. This experience led him to develop his own unique style and artistry, which he would later showcase under the artist name PT the Gospel Spitter.
In 2013, Stokes co-founded an entertainment company, which has since become a hub for rhythm and gospel music. His debut project, "Raise Up," was released in the fourth quarter of 2014 and received widespread acclaim.
Stokes' talents extend beyond music. He has also made a name for himself in the film industry, with his directorial debut, Salvation RMX, receiving the Audience Choice Award at the Gwinnett Center International Film Festival in 2015.
