Biography

Born with a passion for the art of movement, she began her journey as a professional ballet dancer, eventually transitioning to the world of acting. Despite initial struggles on the stage at esteemed institutions such as Det nyTeater and Det kongelige Teater, her fortunes changed when she made the leap to film in 1917.

Her introduction to the silver screen brought her instant appeal, and she went on to collaborate with some of the most renowned directors in the industry. Characterized by her understated yet intensely nuanced performances, her on-screen presence made her characters all the more believable and relatable.

After a lengthy hiatus, she re-emerged in 1942, albeit in smaller roles, marking a new chapter in her illustrious career.
