Aswan Harris is a multifaceted American individual, boasting a career that spans multiple creative fields. Not only is he an accomplished actor, but he is also a skilled voice over actor, stunt performer, and a Marine Corps Veteran.
Aswan's impressive acting credits include a wide range of projects, such as playing a War Room Intern alongside Kevin Costner in Draft Day, a remake of the critically acclaimed Night of the Living Dead (2019),Rachel's 9th Inning (2015),Bachelor Lions (2018),9-1-1 (2018),The Land (2016),Mauraders (2016),and With This Ring (2015).
Born as the youngest of six children, Aswan's early life was marked by his decision to enlist in the United States Marine Corps after graduating from high school. He advanced through the ranks, eventually finishing his active duty service as a sergeant (E5) before being honorably discharged. This marked a significant turning point in his life, as he traded in his battle dress uniform for the endless wardrobe changes on Hollywood sets.
Aswan's acting career began in 2006, when he auditioned for his first stage play, 'Out of Order'. He credits this experience with teaching him the importance of being in the moment, stating that it allowed him to embody the character in its entirety. He went on to perform in several plays, taking on both leading and supporting roles before making his big break in the film industry.
In 2014, Aswan was fortunate enough to work alongside some of the most talented individuals in the industry, including director Ivan Reitman and script supervisor Jayne-Ann Tenggren, on the film Draft Day. He remembers being struck by the sense of camaraderie on set, where everyone treated each other like family. Aswan credits this experience with being like a year of acting schooling, and it is clear that it had a profound impact on his development as an actor.
