Aurora, a talented actress and director, was born in Kent, England, UK, but spent her formative years in Stockport, Greater Manchester, England, UK. She graduated with honors from The Northern Film School in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, UK, earning a First BA Degree.
Aurora's film career began with directing and editing promotional materials and commercials through her own company, Little Northern Light. She also co-founded the production company Left Eye Blind. While signed to Academy Films, she won the prestigious Epic award for directing the short film Life on the Line in 2014.
International festival success led to Aurora winning the Best Emerging Filmmaker award at The Smalls Film Festival for her short psychological thriller Murmur in 2015, which was commissioned by Directors UK. Shorts International acquired her UKFC-funded supernatural short Shades of Living in 2011, while her Sci-fi Nokia Short Daniel premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in the same year.
After winning The Pitch at Pinewood, Aurora made the ambitious sci-fi short film Pulsar in 2018, starring David Gyasi from Interstellar and Jessie Buckley from War & Peace. She also filmed the short Struck in 2017, written by Isley Lynn and produced by 104 Films.
Aurora is currently developing the sci-fi feature "Tipping Point" with Jude Goldrei, with support from Birds Eye View's Filmonomics, 104 Film's Digital Revolutionaries, the Sheffield Talent Centre Programme, VFX Script to Screen Ireland, Screen Yorkshire's Triangle, and Creative Europe MEDIA. Franc Roddam is mentoring Aurora through the Women in Film and TV scheme.
